To track the success of a Card through Boards, you can monitor how long that card sits on a List. For example, suppose Card A has completed its process on three different lists, but then sits on List 4, unchanged, for a few weeks. This lack of progress can slow the workflow of the project as a whole. In cases like these, mark the Card as a Blocker and flag it for review.
In the above screenshot, notice the top card is already marked as a Blocker. A visual blocker symbol is added to the card so Board managers and members can immediately take action to resolve this Blocker. A Card may be marked as a blocker for a number of reasons, such as:
- Not enough resources to complete the work
- The wrong resources are allocated to the Card
- The Card is dependent on other work being done first
- The work is impossible to complete and needs re-evaluation or clarification
Marking a Card as a Blocker coupled with mentions and comments can quickly get the Card the attention it needs. With team collaboration, you'll be able to finally move the Card from Blocker to complete status.
